Preparation & Notes
1 mL Serum (minimum 0.5 mL) Refrigerated Test Description: his is a new combination test of both Anti-phosphatidyel serine and anti-prothrombin IgG and IgM. aPS/aPT were more prevalent in APS patients (51%) than in those without (9%). Furthermore, a number of studies have shown clinical and laboratory evidence that PS/PT antibodies may be a useful second-line test for the evaluation of patients at-risk or suspected with suspected Anti-Phospholipid Syndrome (APS), particularly for those individuals with evidence of thrombosis or abnormal LAC testing. it is better predicting APS than the anti-phosphatidyel serine alone.
