SDL in cooperation with the Genome Center at KFSH&RC provides genetic testing services and a list of more than 164 genetic tests. These tests contribute to assisting specialized doctors in diagnosing genetic conditions and contributing to patient treatment. A group of distinguished cadres are employed in the genetic laboratories with a high degree of competence and training in this field.
Marketing services for examinations and services of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center (KFSH&RC)
SDL markets the medical laboratory services at KFSH&RC in Riyadh and Jeddah, which number more than 3,500 examinations. These assist in meeting the demand of both government and private sector hospitals, specifically in the field of specialized and accurate medical examinations that are core in contributing to the diagnosis of incurable and malignant disease. The samples are also examined by specialists with the highest standards of professionalism and internationally recognized classifications
Newborn screening services
Newborn Screening is a national program that screens newborns for early detection of genetic and metabolic diseases that may lead to the occurrence of rare and serious medical conditions that can affect the normal development of the child. This screening detects 17 different diseases, the discovery of which may prevent disability or death.
Non-human specimen testing services
The company, in cooperation with KFSH&RC, owns a special laboratory for examining non-human samples, specifically for horses and camels. The laboratory aims to examine purebred and camel horse pedigrees to ensure their safety and preservation of those breeds.
