Frozen or refrigerated plasma collected in: PPT EDTA (white-top) tube , Serum collected in a Serum Separator Tube (SST) or red-top tube (no gel). Transfer to a transport tube and refrigerate, 3 mL plasma collected inan EDTA (lavender-top) tube, Alternative Specimen: Frozen or refrigerated plasma collected in: PPT EDTA (white-top) tube , Serum collected in a Serum Separator Tube (SST) or red-top tube (no gel). Transfer to a transport tube andSeparate plasma from whole blood within 24 hours of collection by centrifugation at 800 to 1600 x g for 20 minutes at room temperature. Transfer to a transport tube and freeze or refrigerate.
