"Specimens: 500 µl Serum (s) Preanalytics/Notes: The 3rd to 5th day of the menstrual cycle is suitable for testing inhibin B. Withdraw venous blood without additives, let blood coagulate, transfer supernatant serum into a new tube, label it accordingly, then freeze it and dispatch it frozen. Patients receiving high doses of Biotin (> 5 mg/day) should be sampled at least 8 hours after the last application, as high levels of the Biotin may interfere with the insulin-and c-peptide-test systems.
