500 µL CSF Refrigerated- Anti-ganglioside (glycolipids GM1, GM2, GM3, GD1a, GD1b and GQ1b) antibodies are used in the diagnosis of certain neuropathies, notably motor and sensorimotor forms. Anti-GM1 antibodies are associated with acute Campylobacter jejuni gastroenteritis. Anti-Q1b antibodies are highly specific for Fisher's syndrome. IgM antibodies (often monoclonal) are associated with chronic forms.
